JOB TYPE Full Time / Monday – Friday

LOCATION New Orleans, LA

Hybrid Schedule POST Training = 2 - 3 days / week in NOLA office

SUMMARY

Client Service Coordinator, Global Freight Forwarding - NOLA is responsible for ultimate customer service and solutions while providing shipment scheduling, trouble shooting, delivery coordination, rate quoting and processing of transactions from inception to completion.

Coordinator will assist team with developing and operating our Air/Ocean and Export service offerings. The individual will utilize their relationships, experience, problem solving, and analytical skills to help our customers. This position requires direct contact with our key clients and our suppliers to ensure high level of performance in the movement of goods through the supply chain. Arrange outbound/inbound cargo shipments from start to finish. Communicate with both internal and external customers. Investigate and resolve problem shipments. Support and lead by example with all functions involving both import and export aspects of international transportation -- air, land or sea. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process documentation for physical movement of cargo; identify discrepancies or issues.
  • Meet customer expectations by suggesting process improvement and proactive measures.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal departments and/or vendors.
  • Create, update and execute SOP’s for new and existing clients.
  • Understand and input applicable financial components of shipments for proper billing of customers.
  • Meet required deadlines associated with department and customer KIP & SOP.
  • Nurture relationships and continuously provide exemplary service while collaborating with support staff, overseas offices and other third parties to ensure timeliness and efficiency.
  • Identify most cost-effective solutions based on each client's needs.
  • Maintain profitability of accounts and identify opportunities for increasing revenue / profit margins by successfully negotiating pricing with vendors and quoting clients.
  • Develop knowledge of shipping process and government regulations through research and cross training with other team members.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management; adhere to established policies and procedures.

  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, vendors, co-workers, government agencies, and industry partners, via phone and email, to achieve challenging goals in a time sensitive manner.
  • Proficient in Outlook and MS Office Suite is a MUST

EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED

Recent graduates with stellar communication skills, passion to learn an exciting industry and a solid drive for success!!

OR

1 - 5 years of professional experience in a professional office environment

EDUCATION

Required: High School/GED or equivalent
