DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Assist with traditional cash financing, including margin and securities lending, in Equity and Fixed Income Prime Brokerage businesses. Responsible for client-facing calculations, charging and reporting financial month end close and analysis, financing rates onboarding and rate maintenance, assisting account managers with resolving and responding to client inquiries, management reporting. Support the build out, development, testing and implementation of various strategic business initiatives, including client charging engine, margin trading application, enhancement of client financing reports, and decommissioning of legacy systems. Responsible for high degree front office support and exposure with pricing the business. Review and perform daily client level cash financing validations. Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies to ensure customer balances reported to senior management are complete and accurate. Handle SOX control, internal and external audit. Review gross interest financing month end process for Prime Brokerage client cash financing and Stock Borrow Lending. Ensure overall accuracy of financing rate set-up process. Coordinate with the front office team on Margin Trading tasks such as Risk one setups, Risk one, PB cost curves, Exposure reporting, Risk packet deck, Book rotation and FX vs Market vs Customer activity.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Client Service Associate, Accountant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or as Client Service Associate, Accountant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Excel functions including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Charts & Graphs, and VBA; financial data sets; analyzing financial markets, including stocks, bonds, derivatives, and other financial instruments; analyzing market data, including pricing, volatility, and liquidity metrics; and trade life cycle, including trade booking, confirmation, matching, and clearing processes.
Job Location: 4 Chase Metrotech Center, Brooklyn, NY 11245. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
Full-Time. Salary: $90,000.00-$128,000.00 per year.
