Client Onboarding and Regulatory Services (CORS) is an Operations group within ISG Operations that is responsible for adherence to client regulatory requirements during the life of the client's relationship with Morgan Stanley. This includes Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Client Reference Screening, Know Your Client (KYC), and other non-AML/KYC regulations such as MIFID, QIB, QFC, Dodd Frank, EMIR, HKPI, etc.
The team is comprised of regulatory SMEs that provide support and regulatory control to global Business Units and stakeholders. The teams work on cross-functional projects in support of changed or new regulations, processes and controls that have an impact across the Firm coordinating with Legal, Compliance, Central Change and Technology.
The New Client New Business team is responsible for maintaining, reviewing, processing, and reporting on both AML and Non-AML regulatory programs; ensuring the data and documentation required is collected for new clients or existing clients extending their business relationship with Morgan into new products/jurisdictions.
CORS have a global footprint with offices in Hong Kong, Bangalore, Tokyo, London, Baltimore and New York.

- Perform Client Due Diligence review in support of the Firm's new Client Onboarding and existing client regular review in accordance with the applicable regulatory program requirements (such as US, UK, Germany, Dubai, US, Hong Kong, Singapore KYC requirements and applicable eligibility standards).
- Prepare client outreach templates and work closely with the IBD Onboarding team and bankers to create a seamless experience for new clients onboarding with Morgan Stanley.
- Update Firm systems and databases with information and documentation as obtained from client
- Develop SME knowledge on KYC and Non-AML regulations along with MS specific to provide clear guidance and updates when onboarding new clients.
- Respond to queries from key stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Develop a risk based and rational mindset when reviewing clients to help manage the unique nature of IBD and GCM deal clients.
- Work closely with Global Financial Crimes (GFC) and Business Unit Risk to clarify policy questions and inquiries raised from clients.
- Deliver quality results within required deadlines/time frames.
- Ability to handle volume spikes and prioritize work including ad-hoc requests and projects to meet business demands in a timely manner.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives such as technology enhancements, operational process review, and process simplification.
- Support Functional Managers in the performance of quality & control checks; include the performance of 4-eye checks, collection of error types and analysis of root causes to identify opportunities for improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Solid knowledge of the KYC and AML Compliance policies and how they are applied in a U.S. banking regulatory environment.
- Strong understanding of the Client Onboarding Process and documentation/information specific to KYC/AML and the different types of entities.
- Strong attention to detail and research/investigative skills.
- Quick learning ability to understand policies, procedures, systems, process and controls .
- Sound risk and control mindset, excellent judgement and ability to prioritize.
- Ability to work independently and meet the business deadlines with accuracy, handle trouble shooting to mitigate risks.
- Problem solving skills to mitigate risks associated with the business.
- Effectively interact with the Business Units, Compliance and other key stakeholders to build effective strong relationships.
- Multi-tasking to handle various business requests and prioritize time accordingly.
- Knowledge and understanding of the various financial products offered across business lines.
- Ability to manage pressure and stressful business demands.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Adaptability to the changing environment.
- Demonstrate Teamwork, Collaboration, Responsiveness and demonstrate accountability & ownership.
- Sound project management skills.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint as well as other office applications.
- Requires 2-5 years prior experience.
- Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus, but not required.
Role is Hybrid and will require in office attendance 3 days/week.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 51000 and 85000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
