As a member of the Client Insights & Strategy team, this position’s primary responsibility will be to support the Canadian sales team by providing information and insights that guide the sell-in process & resale of NRS solutions. The Client Insight Specialist will also support the planning, execution, and measurement of NRS solutions.


1. Provide analytical support and data in the preparation of client insight reviews and analyses including the integration of multiple data sources and building PowerPoint presentations. This often includes deep dives into company-purchased syndicated data (Numerator) and preparing comprehensive analyses of category trends, key brand performance, etc., which can help lead to the identification of selling opportunities for NRS products & solutions and further develop partnerships with key clients.


2. Support the Canadian sales team by utilizing company research resources to address analytical and insight questions raised by sales and clients. This may include the following types of issues:

  • Information to help Sales prepare for a new client meeting or NMC product opportunity
  • Post program evaluation of NRS in-store programs – A/B testing & Digital Testing
  • Digital Audience Targeting / Development
  • Other program analysis and support (e.g. Digital, Merchandising, Trade, etc.)

3. Act as a resource to the Canadian division by providing guidance & training to the region on the various types of syndicated information, what types of Numerator and other information to pull, and how to use the data to support client opportunities & analysis.


JOB COMPETENCIES

  • Quantitative orientation
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with a keen attention to detail in a deadline sesitive enviroment.
  • Negotiate and manage workload requests with other departments, including Sales and Marketing.
  • Prepare client-ready presentations of analytical information.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to answer questions in a clear, concise manner.


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
BA/BS, Marketing or other Business degree preferred, marketing, business, quantitative or analytic degrees a plus


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
  • Preference to candidates with an understanding of Consumer Packaged Goods and Market Research/Syndicated Data
  • Experience working with proprietary and syndicated databases (Nielsen, Precima, Dunhumby, IRI, etc.) preferred
  • Experience in working and presenting to clients a strong benefit


TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • High level of proficiency with Excel and Powerpoint is required
  • A quantitative background (statistics, programming, BI/Tableau) is desirable


OTHER REQUIREMENTS OR PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Minimal travel – position is remote.
  • Proven record of delivering quality results on time
  • Ability to use logic to analyze data to draw conclusions and convey or provide advice or consultation
  • The ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively both verbally and in written communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
