JOB SUMMARY

Liaison between Clients and/or Brokers and Conifer operations for Population Health line of business including care management services and/or population health technology. Executive resource for Conifer for client local leadership. Focused on growing client relationships via client revenue, reputation and image by service, and performance for the client. Critical responsibilities include: (a) engaging key client executive management to understand needs (b) working with Conifer internal business colleagues to assess, develop, and recommend service solutions for potential revenue growth; (c) educating the client, monitor performance objectives, prepare for and conduct monthly meetings, (d) report with client and/or client broker personnel underlying metrics, and improvement opportunities to ensure it meets/exceeds the expected levels of performance, (e) ensuring the contractual expectations are met and exceeded, (f) managing the client financials based upon business objectives and service level agreements, (g) monitoring the account P&L, ((h setting strategy that continues to long-term strategy of overall client account. Maintains active and involved, broad client executive relationships, advises clients in a proactive manner the current performance and next areas of mutual opportunity. Provides oversight and management to various Conifer departments. Maintains subject matter expertise on industry trends for client and/or internal consultation and projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Management
  • - Serve as primary contact for Client Executives and other key sponsors, present a knowledgeable, efficient, and professional image by handling business in a respectful and professional demeanor, and excel in the following activities:
    • Client Advisor – Rise to the level of trusted advisor to Clients, with respect to Client’s own performance, industry revenue cycle trends, and new revenue cycle technologies.
    • Reporting and Analytics– Prepare and present to client performance reporting, as contracted and appropriate.
    • Relationship Management
    • - Facilitate and maintain relationships through regular, pro-active communication, timely follow-through on requests and coordination of resources to meet client needs
    • Ongoing Client Leadership and Remediation (Issue Resolution). Identifies performance degradation and coordinates with Conifer operational colleagues to ensure a mitigation plan has been implemented for the client.
    • Develop and implement action plans to address and improve deficiencies in process and performance as identified.
    • Reports on performance to client leadership, and regularly quantifies the benefit/accomplishments Conifer has delivered.
    • Assist with providing comprehensive, succinct updates to Conifer Leadership in order to drive awareness of any Client support requirements and/or risks that could impact service delivery.
    • Position coordinates with Conifer operational leaders
  • Identifies and pursues upsell and/or contract changes managing Change Control Notices and/or amendments, from the time of development, proposition management, client implementation, potential finance notification and works with Contract Management for contract amendment(s). Maintains accurate client entries for contacts, renewals, and upsells in Conifer customer relationship management (i.e. Salesforce) system.
  • Partners with Sales as subject matter expert in operations, market segments and/or service solutions.
  • Company Policy. Adheres to all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to those identified within the Standards of Business Conduct and the Employee Handbook, as may be amended from time to time. Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations and the company's governance/compliance program. Responsible for reporting violations of the company's policies and procedures, Standards of Business Conduct, Compliance, governance program, laws and regulations through the company's Help Line or other mechanism that may be available at the time of the violation. Assists with internal control failure remediation efforts.
  • Internal Controls and Training. Becomes knowledgeable of internal control responsibilities through training and instruction. Responsible and accountable for internal control performance within their area of responsibility. Participates in the internal controls self-assessment process. Ensures concerns with internal control design or performance and process changes that impact internal control execution are communicated to management.

  • Central point of contact between Conifer service lines and the client regarding performance.
  • Possesses the ability to build trusting relationships with Client Executives at all levels.
  • Possesses analytical ability sufficient to work in a data-heavy environment and to identify trends in the data.
  • Possess business acumen with an emphasis on: effective communication (i.e., listening, written and verbal), negotiation, influencing decision makers, business planning, strategy, problem solving, decision making and time management skills.
  • Understanding of the market, trends, competition, and key pain points for Self-Funded health plans.
  • Intermediate MS Office required (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

Conifer requires its candidates, as applicable and as permitted by law, to obtain and provide confirmation of all required vaccinations and screenings prior to the start of employment. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job.

  • Demonstrated experience of ERISA Health Plans;
  • Successful experience leading in matrixed environment.
  • Understanding of the market, trends, competition, and key pain points for Brokers consultants and Health Plans.
  • Proven success in project management roles to include developing and implementing business initiatives, change management, and bringing together disparate team members to successfully deliver client solutions
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Five to seven years in related Healthcare space.

Compensation and Benefit Information

Compensation

  • Pay: $96,602.00-$138,902.00 annually. Compensation depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
  • Position may be eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan bonus of 10%-25% depending on role level.
  • Management level positions may be eligible for sign-on and relocation bonuses.
