Our Ideal Candidate:
Job seekers with vet, veterinary assistant, animal care or pet hospital experience would be a good candidate for this role.
- Has strong computer skills; demonstrated proficiency working in a "windows" environment; fast and accurate keyboarding skills.
- Has excellent communication skills.
- Has the ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
- Has the ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.
The purpose of this position is to serve as a receptionist for Leesburg Veterinary Hospital. The CCA's main responsibility is the smooth, accurate, cheerful, well-planned, and orderly flow of clients and patients.
Principle responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Record keeping, handling phone calls, clerical duties related to animal patient care and treatment, and miscellaneous support to the veterinary staff.
This position requires a practical knowledge of hospital organization and services, the basic rules and regulations governing clients and animal patient treatment, use of veterinary software, word processing, mail service, and practical knowledge of the standard procedures, veterinary records, and terminology used in the hospital.
CCAs are expected to exercise ethical treatment of animals, adhere to hospital policies and procedures, and uphold Leesburg Veterinary Hospital's core values.
