Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for managing our day-to-day accounting and financial requirements for a defined set of clients. Accountability, accuracy, and excellent organizational and time management skills are characteristics demonstrated by those successful in this role.
Basic Function:
The Client Bookkeeping Specialist position creates financial transactions and generates reports from this information. The creation of financial transactions includes posting information to accounting journals or accounting software from source documents including bank statements, invoices and various other documents. The Client Bookkeeping Specialist also reconciles accounts to ensure their accuracy.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze and resolve client queries in accurate and timely manner
- Balance and maintain accurate ledgers
- Contribute to the team effort by meeting monthly goals and performance targets
- Ensure client deliverables are in accordance with company standards
- Maintain positive working relationship with clients for business growth and maintain frequent contact with client by phone and/or e-mail
- Maintain the Chart of Accounts per company standards
- Prepare and send monthly financial statements and reporting packages
- Process year-end 1099’s and tax preparation
- Provide information to the external accountant, as needed
- Record and review all client financial data
Skills:
- Ability to deliver an exceptional client experience, communicate effectively and be friendly
- Experience with data entry and record keeping
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and QuickBooks
