Responsibilities:- Obtains demographic as well as financial information on all patients coming in for testing visits into the hospital.
- Records and verifies all pertinent information from insurance companies in respect to a patient’s authorization for services, eligibility and benefits.
- Reviews all charts for accuracy of information prior to them leaving their respective area.
- Monitors patients wait time and bring any issues/concerns to the immediate attention of the department manager.
- Communicates in a professional manner with insurance companies, employees, physicians and their offices.
- Possesses ability to perform duties in compliance with all practices, policies, procedures and regulations.
High School graduate or equivalent required.
Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred.
Hospital, physician office or insurance company experience preferred.
Knowledge of EPIC preferred.
