The Iowa River Landing Clinic is seeking a 100% Clerk IV - IRL Staffing Clerk. This position will be responsible for staffing assignments throughout the building, ELMS timecards, staff schedules, education files, and other office duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:
Staffing Coordination
- Responsible to enter and publish clinical staff work schedules, in accordance with bargaining union rules, while assuring all units are properly staffed with appropriate number of licensed personnel (i.e. RN, MA, Paramedics, Sonographers, etc.)
- Record staff sign offs and provide daily reassignments to ensure staff coverage to fulfill clinic needs.
- Coordinate extra staffing requests (ie add on clinics, vaccination clinics, holidays, etc.)
- Work daily in the time management system (ELMS) to verify timecard accuracy and to respond to time off requests in accordance with bargaining union rules.
- Complete and submit payroll correction forms as needed for payroll correction.
- Assist Nurse Managers with processing bi-weekly payroll.
- Communicate with Human Resources to request leave of absence transactions and also notify of staff member resignation notice.
Reporting
- Compile weekly staffing vacancy reports at beginning of each week for the Nurse Managers.
- Update and maintain position control charts with education, certification, etc.
- Monitor and correct clockings for clinic charging verifications for accurate budgeting purposes and tracking.
- Report and track on staff members unplanned absences and tardiness to help address attendance concerns in accordance with attendance initiative guidelines.
Training
- Work with Nurse Managers and clinics leads to ensure the orientation checklists and training timelines and completions are occurring in timely fashion for new staff members.
- Ensure all staff members clearly understand how to request time off in ELMS, how to properly clock in and out on floors, etc.
Record Management
- Ensure staff members education files with competencies and licensure are up to date and complete.
Miscellaneous
- Respond efficiently, accurately, and professionally to requests.
- Coordinate and schedule BLS/ACLS courses.
- Additional onboarding coordination/communication.

Schedule: 40 hours a week will be accomplished Monday - Friday between the times of 7:00am-4:00pm
Location: Iowa River Landing
Rotations: Saturday and Sunday off.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- Any combination of progressively responsible related clerical office experience, related undergraduate education, and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to 4 years of full-time employment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with hospital operations/ambulatory clinic operations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ELMS.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the EPIC system.
- Experience with staff scheduling, staff assignments for clinics, etc.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the AFSCME & SEIU Union Contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics policies, procedures, and regulations.
