This is a full time, non-exempt level position
Job Description:

• This position is responsible for web-based data entry and maintenance of rail freight rates in the Rail Rate Inquiry system.
• Key responsibilities including, but not limited to:
• Reading and understanding railroad tariffs and private contracts
• Accurate rate entry and maintenance of current rate data
• Collaborating with our freight accrual team on audit of invoices
• Assist in everyday problem-solving revolving around rate issues
• Communication with business groups on various items related to the rail billing process

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required plus minimum of 2 years general office experience preferred
• Excellent data entry and keyboard skills
• Basic understanding of mathematical/accounting procedures
• Attention to detail and the ability to locate discrepancies is essential
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Experience in internal rail systems and general railroad knowledge preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, & Word)

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. This position requires being in the corporate office five days a week. There is flexibility for remote work in case of complications: weather, sickness, etc.
