Cleaning/Laundry Supervisor

Ancient City Hideaways is a local property management company that manages over 80 vacation rentals in St. Augustine, Florida.

The Cleaning/Laundry Supervisor at Ancient City Hideaways is responsible for managing the turnovers and quality control between guests, ensuring every guest receives the highest level of service and overall experience in their home. With thorough property checks they ensure the homes are well maintained, stocked, cleaned, and in impeccable shape. They will also be managing the laundry process which includes creating laundry kits or wash/dry/fold as office location.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, organized and fast paced worker. They also must have an eye for detail and be able to manage/supervise a team of cleaners, outsourced cleaning companies, and laundry attendants. Strong communication and critical thinking will be needed on a daily basis in this role.

Requirements include:

· Previous experience with residential or vacation rental cleaning required

· Previous experience in a management/supervisor role highly preferred

· Previous experience in hospitality industry is highly preferred

· Must have open availability 5 days a week from 9am to 6pm – including some holidays & after hours for emergencies. Sundays are a must.

· Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to multiple homes/location throughout the city using personal vehicle. (Monthly gas stipend is provided).

· Must be able to carry and lift up to 35 lbs

· Must be efficient in Google Docs and Spreadsheets.

· Must have smart phone with capability for various app usage

Responsibilities and every day tasks include:

· Coordinate/Create cleaning schedule and any touch up cleans (as needed) with cleaning team.

· Coordinate with our guest experience team - handling any cleanliness concerns from guests in an appropriate manner

· Manage internal laundromat and employee (s)

· Full knowledge and understanding of all Ancient City Hideaways properties, cleaning protocols, and standards

· The Cleaning Supervisor, at times, may need to fill in for called out cleaners and be willing to help out in emergency situations

· Communicating with management and guest experience team about any guest damages, broken furniture, etc.

· Coordinate any early arrivals & late departures with cleaning team & guest experience team.

· Perform some minor routine maintenance and light repair tasks on homes

· Perform inventory checks on homes to keep it well stocked as per the homes occupancy – kitchen and bathroom supplies, hangers, beach equipment, linens, etc.

· Work with management team to ensure new properties are set up correctly; set up routine maintenance, lawn care, pest control, utilities, cleaning team, furniture set up, etc.

· Work with vendors to ensure property is kept up to par; pool maintenance, lawn care, trash, recycling, pest control, cleanliness, safety, etc.

· Work as a team – work together with team members such as assistant property managers, cleaners, guest experience team and management.

· Storm Prep – in the event of a storm, work together with the entire team to ensure the homes are prepared and secure

Pay: $45,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
