About the role

codeCampus is seeking to hire and train a Classroom Aide in the Ventura area for January 2024 and beyond. As a codeCampus Classroom Aide, you will:

• Assist a Lead Instructor with in-school, after-school, and/or summer classes
• Substitute for lead teachers
• Work with students in grades TK - 8th
• Help students with questions on the lesson content
• Troubleshoot basic technology issues
• Learn classroom management skills to keep students on track

About you

Candidates for this position must possess the following qualifications:

• Available to start training immediately
• Monday-Friday from 2:00PM - 5:30PM, roughly 13-16hrs a week
• A high school diploma
• Time-management, planning, and organization skills
• Exceptional communication skills, including being able to fluently speak, write, and read English appropriate in a classroom setting
• Access to reliable transportation (if you drive to work, proof of license/auto insurance required)
• Must pass a criminal background check

Compensation

The starting hourly rate for this position is $17.00- 19.00/hour + travel reimbursements, with opportunities for pay raises based on performance and time with the company.
