- Secure loads to bed of truck, trailer, etc.
- Local/Long distance hauling of supplies
- May be responsible for driving a combination of equipment: tractor/lowboy trailer, tractor/flatbed, tractor/over-sized/overweight tow equipment, dry vans, etc.
- Assist with loading and unloading of oversized/overweight equipment and ensure that all loads are properly prepared, loaded, and secured before the vehicle proceeds to avoid shifting, loosening, or falling while in route; perform a thorough pre- and post-check to inspect the load and truck before and after each stop
- Perform general duties associated with loading, unloading, and maintaining vehicle
- Perform basic trouble shooting and make minor repairs
- Perform daily commercial vehicle inspections to include documentation
- Complete vehicle inspection reports, log book, and individual vehicle mileage records meeting all DOT and company record keeping requirement
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Drives Class A commercial trucks to concrete crushing yards, pugmill yards, commercial and industrial sites to be loaded with materials for delivery to other customer locations.
- Is knowledgeable of, and adheres to, DOT regulations.
- Maintains operating condition of vehicle, including washing and greasing duties; inspection of truck to ensure truck is in proper working order, and notifying supervisor of any maintenance or repair needs.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
