At COUNTRY Financial, our PIP/MPClaims Representative provides a consistent, positive, and satisfying claims experience for our clients by delivering superior claims service. Investigates moderate to complex PIP and MP claims from various states within prescribed limits by determining applicable policy coverage, cause of loss, evaluating damages and injuries. Obtains and analyzes a wide variety of documentation related to the claim (i.e., accident reports, ISO reports, medical records, police reports, photos/estimates, statements, etc.) and draws the proper conclusion related to claim investigation.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule and can be based out of our corporate office in Bloomington, IL or Minneapolis, MN.
How does a PIP/MPClaims Representative make an impact?

  • Investigates PIP and MP claims from various states within prescribed limits by determining applicable policy coverage, cause of loss, evaluating damages and injuries. Obtains and analyzes a wide variety of documentation related to the claim (i.e., accident reports, ISO reports, medical records, police reports, photos/estimates, statements, etc.) and draws the proper conclusion related to claim investigation. Claims will include coverage issues, lengthy medical treatment, Wage Loss, Loss of Service or Replacement Services, Survivors benefits and SIU issues where problems may exist or can reasonably be expected.
  • Initiates first contact with insured's, claimants and all relevant parties to gather information related to the accident facts, injury status including past medical history and providers, available insurance, obtains recorded statements (when necessary), and explains the overall claims process.
  • Communicates and negotiates with a variety of individuals regarding investigation and settlement of claims. This includes insured's, claimants, attorneys, insurance carriers, SIU, medical providers, and other involved parties.
  • Identifies, investigates and documents potential subrogation, indemnity and contribution claims, or UM/UIM exposures, making referrals as necessary, consistent with company guidelines and procedures.
  • Identifies and coordinates independent medical review, within prescribed authority, based upon the facts of a particular file.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates strong relationship building skills, initiative, and work prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of property/casualty claims operations and experience working with claims reporting systems.
  • Typically requires 4 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
