Job Description
Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. is currently seeking an Engineering Intern to join our Critical Infrastructure Solutions group. An Engineering Intern will provide support to project managers and senior engineers by being involved in the 3-D modeling and engineering analysis of various structures including civil infrastructure and other mechanical components.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop analytical models and/or finite element meshes to facilitate structural analysis
- Design/analysis structural calculations, by hand or using structural analysis software
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Experience in 3-D drafting/modelling software (e.g. SolidWorks)
- Completed coursework in solid mechanics, structural dynamics or vibrations, steel, concrete, and seismic design
- Strong communication skills
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- 0-1+ years of experience in previous internship programs
- Currently enrolled or planning to pursue a Master’s degree
- EIT certification
- Experience in structural engineering or finite element analysis programs (e.g LS-DYNA, Abaqus, or ANSYS)
Term:
- Spring through Summer of 2024
The expected pay rate for this role in Sacramento, CA is $28 - 30 per hour depending on experience and education.
