Civil Technician

Basic Function: Develops design or technical solutions under the supervision of engineers.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Perform CAD drafting of engineering designs under the supervision of others
• Apply sound knowledge of engineering principles
• Assist with development of design concepts

Qualifications/Skills:

• Knowledge of site planning, storm and waste water management, road design, and traffic studies
• Strong personal organizational and time management skills as well as a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to multi-task and work with a group and on an individual basis
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Projects, etc.)

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-8 years of experience in civil design
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required

The employee is required to sit for a substantial amount of time. The employee must be able to lift and/or move at least 10lbs occasionally (overhead, waist level) from floor. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception.
