Our client is a top-tier, family-oriented company with over 30 years of experience in the business. As they continue to grow, they need a driven and detail-oriented Estimator to help take them to the next level.
This opportunity is perfect for candidates with 2 years of experience in estimating. The candidate should have a background in civil construction, specifically in roads, bridges, paving, and parking lots.
As an Estimator, you'll be responsible for:
• Reviewing construction plans and specifications to prepare take-offs, as well as creating and analyzing bids for upcoming projects.
• Conducting technical and engineering analysis of the requirements and costs associated with construction projects.
• Establishing and maintaining working relationships with clients and vendors to ensure project success.
• Tracking and analyzing post-construction costs to determine the accuracy of estimates.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of ongoing projects and providing value engineering recommendations.
The essential job functions of this position include:
• Creating detailed cost analyses using computer software programs.
• Verifying and inspecting various costs associated with a project.
• Communicating with project managers to identify areas of future improvement and cost-saving solutions.
• Providing accurate estimates for new construction projects and updating estimates for ongoing projects as needed.
• Ensuring all company policies and procedures are being met on all projects.
As an ideal candidate, you should have:
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• 2 years of experience in the civil construction industry.
• Proven experience in estimating.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Estimating software.
