About being our Project Manager or Sr. Project Manager /Civil Engineering Manager - Transportation/Public Works
As a Project Manager or Sr. Project Manager with our Engineering team in our San Diego, CA office, you will utilize your expertise to oversee all aspects of the development and design for transportation and public works projects. You'll be responsible for overall management of multiple projects and utilize experience to organize and execute the technical quality and coordination of a broad range of assignments.
Responsibility Highlights for our Project Manager or Sr. Project Manager /Civil Engineering Manager - Transportation/Public Works
- Possess expert technical knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures within the Transportation and Public Works discipline
- Lead business development efforts and pursuit planning, including negotiation of contracts, presentations, proposals, RFPs and RFQs, and interviews
- Maintain client and contract management throughout the project and act as client advocate to maintain client satisfaction
- Supervise, train and mentor team members and coordinate with supervisors to assign and provide all design, coordination, and follow-up work to ensure agency requirements and quality standards are met
- Prepare plans and profiles, compiling research and development of technical reports, calculations, cost/quantity estimates, and specifications in order to provide clear, traceable, and coordinated interpretation of the design/drawings for construction
- Lead site visits, client meetings, QA/QC, coordination with agencies for obtaining permitting approvals
- Prepare schedule, budget, scope of services, preparing and collecting additional services, budget monitoring and corrective action recommendations
- Positively represent within the region through participation in industry organizations, events and conferences
Minimum Qualifications to be our Project Manager or Sr. Project Manager /Civil Engineering Manager - Transportation/Public Works
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- 12+ years' experience in engineering and design with a focus on public works, traffic engineering or roadway and highway design
Preferred Qualifications for our Project Manager or Sr. Project Manager /Civil Engineering Manager - Transportation/Public Works
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in California, Professional Traffic Operation Engineer (PTOE) or Traffic Engineer (CA TE)
- Engineers with a Traffic Engineering (TE) license and expertise in traffic engineering studies and design will also be considered

- A competitive salary! The expected range for this position is $130,000 - $185,000/salary depending on experience
Compensation may be adjusted for well qualified candidates - Discretionary bonus program
