YOU are the future of our company. We'll rely on you to provide support to our teams on critical projects while fostering a culture of continuous learning and inclusion as you bring fresh ideas to the table. You'll work alongside professional engineers and designers, gaining exposure to project coordination, relevant computer-assisted engineering software, data collection, and so much more. You'll provide support to the transportation engineering group on design projects for clients such as state, county, and municipal transportation agencies. This posting is for the Summer 2024 start.

  • In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program 
  • Must be at least a rising Junior 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs 
  • Ability to perform field investigations and verify/evaluate existing roadway and traffic signal conditions, signing, and pavement marking.
  • Ability to manage and achieve scheduled milestones, budget constraints and quality benchmarks on assigned projects and tasks.

Ideally, you'll also have: 

  • 3.0 GPA  
  • Working knowledge of MicroStation, AutoCAD, Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, or HCS software
  • Basic understanding of MUTCD and Highway Capacity Manual
  • A previous internship related to your field of study 
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs  
  • Self-driven time management and organizational skills 

The base salary range for this position is $22.58 to $26.58. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
