The Viaflex team finds its passion in creating film and sheeting solutions that outperform and outlast. From design and manufacturing to on-site installation, our highly skilled team never stops striving to improve.

 As a summer intern with Viaflex, you will gain the following,

  1. Hands-on experience: You will have the opportunity to work on real projects, learning about the installation process and gaining practical skills in site preparation, excavation, and lining techniques.
  2. Understanding of materials: You will learn about different types of liners and geomembranes, their properties, and how they are used in different applications, such as waste containment, water management, and erosion control.
  3. Site and management: You will learn about site management, including safety procedures, quality control, and the coordination of personnel and equipment.
  4. Project management: You will have the opportunity to observe and assist with project management tasks, such as budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.
  5. Technical skills: You will learn about the use of heavy equipment, and technologies used for liner installation, such as GPS and laser-guided equipment.
  6. Networking: You will have the opportunity to meet and work with professionals in the field, which can be valuable for future job opportunities and learning.
  7. Industry knowledge: This position will give you an understanding of the industry, the challenges and opportunities, and the importance of environmental regulations, which will be valuable for future employment in that field.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Current Engineering majors are encouraged to consider this role.  Project Manager's or other bachelor's degree candidates may also be an excellent fit for this position.    

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Aptitude to learn installation procedures. Is self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision. Ability to efficiently work at a fast pace. Strong attention to detail. Ability to operate installation tools (power tools, crimpers, strippers, etc.). Ability to troubleshoot and/or problem-solve. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff. Good eye/hand coordination. Ability to stand for long periods.
