As an entry level Civil Engineer Technician, we will train you for the day-to-day activities to include:
- Drive a company vehicle to construction Civil Engineering job sites and document Civil Engineering construction activities into a daily log.
- Review permit applications for rule compliance.
- Assist Civil Engineers with plan specifications and estimates.
- Operate electronic survey instruments such as GPS and Total Station.
- Communicate with construction contractors and the project manager regarding the construction activities.
Qualifications
- High school graduate with post-secondary education a plus.
- General knowledge of construction
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints and maps.
- Able to work extended periods of time in outdoor conditions.
- Above average math and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and availability for overnight travel.
