BRIDGE PROJECT MANAGER ENGINEER, INDIANA

Job duties include:
· Manage Bridge Projects from inception through final plan tracings and coordination with client, prime and sub consultant.
· Perform hand and software supported bridge analysis and design computations.
· May perform bridge inspections, prepare bridge condition reports, and supervise and review bridge load rating computations.
· Supervise project team for the development of plans for bridges and other transportation related structures.
· Prepare contract bid documents including final plans, specifications, and cost estimates for structural projects.
· Visit project sites to perform bridge inspections, verify existing conditions during design, and provide engineering support during construction.
· Coordinate with other disciplines within the transportation department including but not limited to survey, roadway, drainage, and planning.
Minimum requirements:
· Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
· Licensed PE in Indiana, with qualifications to obtain the license in other states such as Ohio and Kentucky
· 7-10 years of experience in bridge design
· Experience preparing structure plans for DOT projects.
· Experience using the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Manual
· Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
· Must have a valid driver's license
Additional Desired Skills and Experience
· FHWA 2 Week Bridge Inspection Course or one week course for Professional Engineers
· Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
· Bridge inspection experience
· Experience with Bridge Inspection Reference Manual
