Our Mid-Atlantic Aviation team is experiencing exciting local growth within our established practice and we have a need for a Civil Professional Engineer to support design projects that are both airside and landside. The primary responsibilities for this role will include:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Performs civil design calculations computer modeling, calculations, detailing, and plan set production for runways, drainage, and utilities.
• Coordinates project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians in his/her discipline group.
• Work under the supervision of senior staff to produce quality design and plans and interpret plans from other engineering related disciplines (survey, drainage, structural, etc.).
• Review drawings supplied by vendors, clients, and engineers and architects and recommends necessary changes.
• Research design options and documents findings for Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.
• Assists with other duties assigned by Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.
• Attend and/or conduct client meetings, and interacts with clients.
• Provide resident engineering services to include construction quality, acceptance testing and construction management activities as required.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer or have the ability to sit for exam within one year of hire
• Previous experience design software including AutoCADD, Microstation, Geopak, InRoads, HEC-RAS, StormCAD, and other hydrology/hydraulics programs
• Previous experience on Aviation Infrastructure projects
• Ability to efficiently utilize time in executing assigned tasks accurately and on time.
