Civil Engineer

Well-established Civil Engineering firm has an opening for an Assistant Civil Engineer. This person will be providing support for site development projects in a variety of projects: Schools K-12, College campuses, small & large scale Institutions, High density housing, Commercial development, Public works, and Parks / recreation projects (from conception phase through construction documents). 

Responsibilities:

• Grading and drainage design
• Utility design
• Hydraulic design
• Assimilate topographic surveys and architectural site plans into AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Develop storm water management plans and calculations
• Layout of new parking lots
• Interpret campus as-builts
• Calculate earthworks 

Requirements:

• BSCE from an accredited school in the US
• EIT Certification
• AutoCAD 3D proficiency
• Experience in Civil Site Design
• Working knowledge of surveying
• Knowledge of storm water best management practices
• Knowledge of ADA requirements and building codes
• Experience working with Architects in school / institutional projects a PLUS
• Strong communication
