The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Hold an associates or higher degree or equivalent technical qualifications in CAD
- Have minimum of two (2) years of experience in civil drafting and/or engineering
- Have good communication skills (oral and written) in English
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D software.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work to meet cost objectives, quality and deadlines.
- Time management skills and adaptation to change.
Job Description
Mott MacDonald is looking for an experienced designer, with the ability to function as part of a design team for small to large capital projects in the energy sector.
Responsibilities will include:
- Create civil grading and roadway/linear models using Civil 3D and prepare 2D drawing packages from the design models
- Prepare material quantities (cut/fill volumes, etc.) from the Civil 3D model files.
- Create drawings with minimal supervision
- Develop technical drawings (determining appropriate scales, arrangement, and specific details of the drawings) from the concepts required by the engineering team
- Respect and enforce internal and client policies and procedures in the preparation of drawings
- Perform other related duties that may contribute to the project's completions
