Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to support an expanding portfolio of mining projects in our Phoenix, AZ office and around the country.

This position encompasses both office work (technical design, task management, data analysis, and report preparation) as well as fieldwork. You should have experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Civil3D. 

Role accountabilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of permit applications and construction drawings and specifications for water treatment facilities, industrial sites, and land development projects
  • Develop grading and drainage plans; surface water and waste management facilities including collection, conveyance, storage, and containment; and site layouts
  • Model earthwork and stormwater runoff
  • Implement quality control procedures during construction
  • Provide services during construction
  • Assist with construction cost estimate preparation
  • Perform infrastructure assessments/inspections and prepare reports
  • Ensuring that QA/QC procedures are implemented within design teams

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • 5 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MSHA
  • Experience developing grading plans and site layouts
  • Experience with earthwork and stormwater modeling software
  • Experience developing SPCC and SWPP plans and/or performing inspections
  • Experience with linear projects

Arcadis offers benefits for full time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement.  We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start, and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $74556 - 132829 / year.
