POSITION PURPOSE:
The COB Dockhand may be the first person our guests interact with when arriving to the marina. It is important that they deliver
a superior marina experience to all of our guests. COB Dockhands assist the Circle of Boating Manager and other Dockhands in
all duties related to the marina. They do so while being friendly, positive, and accommodating. They will also keep the area clean,
safe, and well maintained.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists the Circle of Boating Manager and other Dockhands in marina related duties such as securing boats to docks,
connecting and monitoring utility services (power, water and telephone), black water pump out, waste disposal and
facility sanitation
2. Provides the highest level of customer and guest services, expedites any and all requests from vessels including
transport of guests and baggage to and from dockside, delivery of provisions and packages
3. Routinely operates, motor and water vehicles and other various mechanized equipment
4. Carries out routine cleaning duties that meet established quality standards for all marina related operations; insures the
recognized standards are maintained and that quality, and delivery commitments are met
5. Assists refueling vessels when required at the fuel dock, ensures safe fueling procedures
6. Maintains a friendly, professional working relationship with co-workers, members, guests and vendors.
7. Cleans restrooms, docks, walkways, equipment and all other areas of the marina
8. Demonstrates safe work habits at all times, including the proper care and use of all tools, equipment, vehicles,
hazardous materials, and observes all established health and safety regulations.
9. Provides safe disposal of all waste material.
10. All other duties as assigned by management
OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work performed and composed of a variety of different tasks, calling for use of judgment; and compliance with policies and
procedures. Must be both a team player and self-starter.

9. Must have flexible schedule to include working weekends and holidays during busy season;
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to fifteen (15) pounds
2. Must be able to swim or be willing to wear a personal flotation device in instances of emergency
3. Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and
squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally
4. Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
5. Must be able to operate general computer equipment including laptop, keyboard, and mouse with ease
6. Must be able to utilize a phone, both desk and mobile, with ease
7. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time at a desk setting
8. Must be able to use eyes for the purpose of viewing computer monitors and analyze data for extended periods of time.
9. Must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat)
10. Must be able to climb stairs, both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat)
11. Primary office setting is at the marina location in an office environment, seated at a desk
