Christian Life Coordinator

Dearborn Good Shepherd United Methodist Church is seeking a Christian Life Coordinator.

Qualifications and Key Responsibilities:

• Committed, enthusiastic Christian

• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to

bring a program from concept to execution

• Empowered with the development, coordination, and implementation of NEW

ministries

• Self-starter to plan, promote and lead NEW Christian Life activities connecting

neighborhood community to church life

• Possible Ministry Ideas: Senior Ministries (Young at Heart Model), Messy Church

Model, Fresh Expressions, Mental Health Support Groups, Kids’ Ministry,

Neighborhood Events, Spiritual Formation (Practicing the Way Model); seeking

fresh ideas and innovative techniques

• Personable; able to network and build relationships with individuals and

congregational teams

• Ability to plan ahead & work on more than one project at a time; organized; basic

computer skills for communication required; work laptop provided

• Experience in church or non-profit environment, education, public speaking,

and/or grant writing are desirable

Salary: $15,000/year

Flexible hours: 15hr/week; no office hours required; arrange your own time with reliability; on-site attendance required to lead events; some Sunday mornings required
