Childcare Provider

Job Type: Full Time Some Evenings; Benefits Package available 30+ hours per week

The WCA is seeking an engaging, compassionate, energetic, child and youth oriented, highly organized individual to join the Child Care and Youth Programs Department as a Childcare Provider. Will take care of child(ren) while in child care facility/setting providing nurturing and supportive childcare. As appropriate will work with child and parent to evaluate, identify and connect with appropriate community resources. Will be responsible for maintaining a positive environment by promoting education and safety in the areas of physical, social and emotional development. Actively engage in the day-to-day services for supporting youth.

The successful candidate will:

• Adhere to Boise City Child Care Licensing requirements.
• Possess the ability to work effectively to provide child care needs for a wide age range of children and from a wide range of backgrounds and behaviors.
• Be able to provide child care and youth advocate services to clients and families.
• Works with the Client to provide the necessary support for the child(ren) such as early learning strategies, assessments, clothing/diaper resources and school attendance.
• Monitor children for health, behavioral, and emotional issues and reporting concerns to staff and parents.
• Possess good understanding of the impact of domestic and sexual violence. Ability to handle stressful situations, and maintain strict confidentiality.
• May need to work at different WCA locations. If driving on behalf of the WCA must possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license and proof of liability coverage to meet the requirements of the State of Idaho.
