Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to join our team. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of professionals in the field of child welfare and behavioral health. Your role will involve providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure the well-being and safety of children and families in crisis situations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise parents while visiting with their children.
- Provide guidance and support to family members in their day-to-day responsibilities
- Conduct regular meetings with staff to review cases, discuss challenges, and provide feedback
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations
- Utilize crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate challenging situations
- Implement behavioral health interventions and strategies to promote positive outcomes for children
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage families in the treatment process
- Monitor progress of children and families and make necessary adjustments
Qualifications:
- Experience in social work or a related field
- Previous experience working in child protective services or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of child welfare policies, procedures, and regulations
- Experience working with children who have experienced trauma or crisis situations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Ability to effectively manage conflict and resolve issues in a professional manner
