Child Protective Service Supervisor - Bcf/Region 1 - See Posting

Supervises the Child Protective Services investigative and/or case management unit for the Clay, Gilmer, Webster and Braxton County district. Acts as a back-up for other CPS Supervisors. Will Screen referrals and make decision on whether it meets the definition of abuse and/or neglect. If the referral is accepted, the supervisor will assign to the appropriate worker. Assigns open cases to on-going staff. Supervises on-going court, in-home, ICPC, and guardianship cases. Consults with CPS workers on assessments and open cases. They will maintain liaison with the appropriate allied agencies and organizations through the three counties. Monitors staff training, attendance, and case staffing. Prepares reports and corrective action plans. Monitors PATH to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. Will ensure the proper implementation of SAMS by staff. Required to be on-call during non-business hours which requires the use of a personal vehicle and must be available and have access to a telephone.
Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position.

Training: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
OR
Substitution: Current West Virginia Social Worker License.
AND
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid social work experience in a public or private human services agency, three (3) years of which must have been at the full-performance level in children's services.
OR
Substitution: Master's degree in Social Work from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute for two (2) years of the required experience.
