Sound like you? If so, you belong with us! Tennyson Center for Children is in search of a Community Based Child & Family Therapist in Boulder—to help kids and families who may otherwise be forgotten! We need you to join in our vision and passion to serve and positively impact the lives of children across Colorado.
This program provides in-home and community services in 10 counties across the state to provide preventive services and therapy to strengthen families with children aged 5 to 18. You will have a specific Boulder region where the majority of your clients will reside in order to minimize drive time!
In this position, you will provide individual and family therapy, parenting education, skill building, crisis stabilization, and care coordination.

*New Hire Sign on Bonus:
$1000 after 90 days; additional $1500 after 180 days for Full-Time
$500 after 90 days; additional $1000 after 180 days for Part-Time

Job Duties
- Provides in home individual and family therapy. Meets with families at flexible times throughout the week.
- Completes documentation of individual and family sessions, case management contacts, monthly progress reports, service plans, assessments, and other required forms of paperwork within required timeframes of Medicaid standards and other contracted referral sources.
- Provides crisis consultation and support to clients on caseload during regularly scheduled workdays. Develops safety plan with clients and plan for crisis on non-workdays
- Assumes coordination of services when there is such a need in cases where no other organization has assumed this responsibility.
- Maintains the highest standard of cultural competency in all dealings with clients and staff.
- Demonstrates knowledge and ability to implement agency policies, procedures, SPB’s, collateral policies, and COA’s guidelines.
Education/Experience/Licensure
- Master of Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or a graduate degree in a related field
- Licensed or license eligible (LCSW, LPC, LMFT)
- Must in registered and in good standing with DORA (Department of Regulatory Agencies)
- Bilingual Spanish speaking individuals strongly encouraged to apply
- All candidates must have or qualify to obtain a current Colorado driver’s license. (Must obtain Colorado license within 30 days of employment).
- All positions require criminal CBI background check, FBI fingerprint check, State of CO child abuse check, DMV driving record check, pre-employment drug test, pre-employment physical, academic credential verification, and reference check.
