Summary: Under the supervision of the Center Administrator, the responsibilities of this position must provide, plan for, implement and integrate developmentally appropriate learning activities for assigned children in such a manner that contributes to their growth and development and in accordance with best practices for serving infants/toddlers and Head Start Performance Standards; Ability to apply Early Childhood Development theory in daily classroom activities, and adapt to the individual needs of children.
Minimum Qualifications: AA in Early Childhood and one (1) year experience working with infants and toddlers, or in a preschool environment; All positions require the ability to communicate verbally and in writing; All employees must pass an extensive background check before hire.
Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, Child & Family Studies, or related discipline with a minimum of 18 hours in Early Childhood Education, and one (1) year experience in a preschool/child development program.
