We are currently hiring for a fulltime Assistant Director for our premier, state of the art childcare facility. Candidates are asked to reply with their cover letter and resume for further review. Interested candidates must be available to work anytime M-F between the hours of 6:30am – 6pm as well as have availability on evenings and weekends to both attend and provide trainings as well as conduct center events and attend community events.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists and supports Director in all aspects of management of the school, to include human resources, customer relations, financial systems, marketing, quality control and physical facility
- Responsible for oversight of the facility in the Directors absence
- Maintains complete support of Director and School’s Ownership
- Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws as well as company policies and procedures
- Oversees and maintains faculty scheduling
- Provides prompt and immediate service
- Creates an exceptional family experience and nurtures strong bonds with the students and families served by the center
- Maintains a close, supportive connection to the community we serve
- Helps complete all required paperwork and record keeping in an organized, up-to-date manner
- Assists in planning school activities and actively participates, including staff meetings, training sessions, open houses, planning sessions, community events etc.
- Inspires staff through example
- Performs all duties of a teacher or cook during any portion of the day assigned to a classroom
- Consistently mentors, supports and coaches staff members
- Conducts frequent staff observations
- Assists with responding to enrollment inquiries, follow-up, and center tours
- Helps train and support faculty to plan and implement developmentally appropriate classroom activities
- Support Curriculum implementation as needed.
- Schedule tours, conduct tours, send a thank you email for visiting the school, add family to the waitlist chart, organize and keep a waitlist folder.
- Ensure classrooms are cleaned and in great shape.
- Ensure public areas/communal areas are cleaned and in great shape.
- Ensure supply is stocked.
- Ensure the playground and other public places are free of hazards and safe.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and be Director eligible
- Must have at least two years of experience working in a Child Care facility
- Demonstrates a proven history of strong leadership
- Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this position
- Pleasant/friendly, upbeat demeanor and an outgoing personality
- Highly professional and reliable
- Must be able to interact appropriately with students of all ages and skill levels as well as with parents, employees, and management
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high
