North Suffolk Psychiatry is a growing private practice in Suffolk, Virginia. We treat individuals, families, and couples with mental health concerns. Our community and specifically our practice, has a growing need for a providers willing to treat children and Adolescents.
We are seeking a fully licensed, independent counselor/therapist (LAC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, Psychologist, LAMFT, LMFT) to join our team as an Independent Contractor. As a therapist, you will be responsible for conducting psychotherapy, preparing mental health plan assessments, progress notes, developing treatment plans, and completing all mandated reports. Billing, Administrative, and EHR support will be provided.
This is a contract (1099) position. It is best suited for a therapist with a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn and grow professionally, excellent relationship skills, and one who utilizes CBT, DBT, brief solution-focused, EMDR, and strengths-based approaches. We provide outpatient individual, family, and couples counseling services for children, adolescents, and adults. We specialize in treating a variety of psychological needs such as anxiety, depression, OCD, self-esteem, gender identity, suicide prevention, postpartum mental health, crisis, infant attachment, trauma, parent-child relationships, ADHD, and grief and loss.
Description of Responsibilities:
· Provide psychotherapy services as an independent contractor to children, teens and adults (per individual preference) in person or via Telehealth.
· Prepare treatment plans and implements evidenced-based interventions utilizing various treatment modalities
· Responsible for maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
· Model a therapeutic attitude.
· Practice high clinical and ethical standards of the mental health profession.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
