The Position:
We are seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to work at our Northpoint School Non-Public School and our Outpatient Psychiatry Department. This position will require minimum of 20hrs with potential to expand to 40hrs. Child and Family Guidance Center will be moving forward with a hybrid model which will entail both on-site and remote virtual sessions. While working for CFGC, you will have ample time for psychiatric assessment and follow-up appointments. We provide support staff for assistance with administrative issues such as prior authorizations, scheduling and messaging. You will benefit from peer supervision/consultation and continued medical education during regular psychiatric meetings of CFGC's team of 10 BE/BC Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists.
The Department of Psychiatry at CFGC is involved in:
- innovative collaborations with UCLA to produce community-based research studies
- Training of UCLA Psychiatry Residents/Fellows in Community Child Psychiatry
- Person centered care providing telehealth services when needed to decrease access barriers
Qualifications
- Board Eligible or Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Current CA MD & DEA License
- Expertise in Psychiatric Assessment and Medication Management
- HIPAA Certified Ability to collaborate within inter-disciplinary team
