We are seeking a talented Lead Eengineer who enjoys holistic system thinking to support system design and requirements (SDR) through the architecture, development, integration and verification activities.
This role will require onsite support full-time at Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control facility in Orlando, FL working a 4/10 Flex schedule. This position requires a current DoD Secret clearance investigated within the last 5 years or a CV date within 5 years.
Seeking Chief Systems Architect to establish ATWS program area vision and roadmap for architecture commonality across the ATWS programs. The ATWS Program Area Chief Architect will be responsible for creating structure and architecture to transition ATWS programs to common digital-centric operations in a coordinated manner. The architect will harmonize on-going and future development scope to drive to program area-centric and digital-first solutions; Steer Transformation Organization to ATWS-relevant solutions. Provide technical oversight to unified program area transformation vision (architecture, component commonality, IDE, etc.) This ATWS Program Area Chief Architect will interface with Chief Engineering Leadership, Systems Engineering Leadership, and the SE Transformation Organization. This position will: Oversee program architectures and development choices to ensure synergy and speed; Interface with Transformation (MFC and 1LM) and drive enterprise solutions towards program area needs. Ensure unified vision leading to common approaches, high reuse, customer alignment, etc.. Coordinate and prioritize System Architect resources and sharing of system architects and other IDE SMEs across LOB. Utilize ATWS as the standard for MFC and S&GS LOB. Drive fast development, coordinate ATWS IDE program adoption. Coordinate system architectures of on-going program development activities. Drive 1LMX solutions across ATWS; Ensure MFC-X Digital Thread solutions meet ATWS needs; Facilitating, conducting, and organizing reviews, including internal and external briefings.
Basic Qualifications
- Recognized expert in system architecture development and systems engineering; able to command respect of customer and internal senior leaders and managers
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- System Architecture Accreditation/Certification
- Strong interpersonal and management skills to lead, coach, and direct activities to achieve trusted technical system architecture
- Must be able to work well in leading cross-functional organizations to define design requirements and design implementation, all to be documented, integrated, and verified in the course of the development process
- Experience with the following tools: Rhapsody, Cameo, Crystal Ball, Gateway, DOORS, Datahub, Tableau
- Experience in hardware, software, and firmware for missile systems, including design considerations affecting their integration to meet system requirements.
Must have a Secret Clearance with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $153,200 - $293,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $176,200 - $331,900. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
