This prime contract is critical to the government and allows team members to work independently and explore new and emerging technologies. Join our team as aChief Architect/Systems Engineer at our Leidos site in Columbia, MD! As our Chief Architect you will be responsible for a cohesive architectural approach across multiple mission areas operating in a Large-Small Mission Focused Team (LSFMT) construct. Working directly for the LSMFT Program Manager, as the Chief Architect you will lead a small team of lead systems engineers and subject matter experts across 5 prime contracts to identify cross-mission synergies, develop optimized frameworks, and integrate technical efforts across missions.

Your Primary Responsibilities to the Mission

  • Facilitate the transformation from mission silos to a unified architecture, tools, and processes
  • Maintain cross-mission situational awareness to identify opportunities to eliminate redundancies; identifies cross-mission synergies
  • Maintain alignment with the mission architectural roadmap, applies standardized best practices, leads hardware (HW) and software (SW) architecture baseline activities, guides development and implementation, drives innovation and change, facilitates integration with the larger customer enterprise
  • Develop optimized frameworks; integrates technical efforts across missions; collaborates across the team and customer enterprise to stay aligned with mission vision; facilitates corporate reach-back across all primes to drive innovation into mission; maintains process baseline and tailoring guidance
  • Maintain and foster vendor relationships
  • Chair the Technical Excellence Committee (TEC) which consists of the lead systems engineers (LSEs) and subject matter experts (SMEs) from the five prime contracts in the LSMFT.

What Sets You Apart (required):

  • You must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance to be considered for this role.
  • Masters or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Four years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 15 years of technical experience to include systems development supporting programs for DOD or IC customers.

You Might Also Have (desired):

  • Domain specific experience in the applicable customer mission space is highly desired.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $144,300.00 - $260,850.00
