About The Role

The Mobility House’s (TMH) mission is to create an emissions-free energy and mobility future. Since 2009, the company has developed an expansive partner ecosystem to intelligently integrate electric vehicles into the power grid, including electric vehicle charger manufacturers, 750+ installation companies, 65+ energy suppliers, and automotive manufacturers ranging from Audi to Tesla. The intelligent Charging and Energy Management system ChargePilot and underlying EV Aggregation Platform enable customers and partners to integrate electric vehicles into the grid for optimized and future proof operations. TMH’s unique vendor-neutral and interoperable technology approach to smart charging and energy management has been successful at over 500 commercial installations around the world. TMH seeks a self-motivated, energetic professional who wants to help accelerate the transition to zero-emission transportation to join our company in the Belmont office. Fueled by the momentum of the EV industry, TMH is set to grow its North America business exponentially. The Chief of Staff is a senior role, and will be directly responsible for structuring and carrying out company-wide initiatives that enable rapid growth, including recruiting and hiring procedures, ensuring The Mobility House remains an amazing place to work and innovate, and ensuring scalable systems. A successful candidate will challenge themselves to improve processes and day-to-day operations to take the company to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

HR & Recruiting (55%)

  • Lead strategic special projects, from HR initiatives to vendor selections for various systems and services
  • Manage recruiting, hiring processes, and on/offboarding working closely with company leaders and external service providers
  • Create processes that reinforce growing a thriving, diverse, cross-functional team and an inclusive culture
  • Coordinate company-wide HR initiatives with HR service providers and ensure compliance with local and company HR policies

Strategic Initiatives (30%)

  • Prepare and facilitate strategic discussions and decisions by Executive Leadership
  • Communicate strategic decisions from the Executive Leadership and facilitate the execution of strategic decisions
  • Set agendas for and lead team-wide meetings and company events

Internal Operations (15%)

  • Identify and provide recommendations on internal improvements across the organization
  • Maintain documentation in the office and forward mails to the responsible members
  • Facilitate onsite events
  • Ensure the office is a welcoming working environment

Requirements

  • Applied People, recruiting, or HR experience
  • Ability to make decisions with large amounts of ambiguity across differing teams and projects at once
  • Deep interest in employee relations and ability to interact with employees at all levels
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to details
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Approachable, proactive, resourceful, collaborative, and desire work without direct supervision
  • Self-starter with a proven track record of taking initiative

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a startup, software or consulting
  • Strong interest in The Mobility House's mission

Total compensation: $150,000-$200,000 inclusive of base salary and other incentives such as annual bonus and stock options. Actual offer will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, and experience.
