Job description

The Chief of Staff (COS) of Apollo will be a passionate healthcare business leader with a strong executive presence on a mission to transform primary care. This leader will collaborate with Apollo’s President and Chief Medical Officer to design, implement and practice within a new primary care enterprise that exceeds healthcare’s quadruple aim.
Key Responsibilities and Desired Outcomes
  • Create a comprehensive business/opportunity justification using numbers and analysis across a variety of metrics.
  • Utilize data analyses to find relevant insights. Able to express those insights through a variety of media and across different sets of stakeholders.
  • Competent in creating executive level materials outlining business cases addressing tradeoffs and risks.
  • Ability to simultaneously think both strategically and operationally; steers strategic initiatives from genesis to fruition.
  • Experience utilizing scant data (combined with proxy data) to form hypotheses.
  • Demonstrates the business acumen to understand what data is needed to support a business case
  • Has healthcare experience and is comfortable around key data and metrics that are used in the industry
  • Knows how to find and leverage secondary research and third-party data.
  • Knows how to demonstrate return on investment including creating milestones to measure progress.
  • Is comfortable around financial data: understands the picture its painting, can develop a pro forma; responsible for tracking budgets and actuals.
  • Provides hands on support to transform business strategy into reality and monitors the progress
  • Proven ability to build operations that support successful business strategies
  • Keeps the various work streams progressing as we build Apollo.
  • Helps coordinate internal and external communications.
  • Ability to pivot quickly and effectively
Ideal Experience
  • Master’s degree in healthcare management, data analytics, or business administration/ other relevant area with 10 plus years of related experience
  • Demonstrated passion for utilizing data to drive business results.
  • A high degree of knowledge of data analytics in the healthcare field and demonstrated success in utilizing data to drive business results.
  • A track record of building thriving teams in a fast-paced environment that can carefully weigh options and risks.
  • Entrepreneurial background/start-up experience
