MD/DO required. Current licensure within the state of Texas. Provides executive leadership for White Rock in facilitating medical staff interactions with Hospital Administration and the Hospital governing board and to assure effective and efficient delivery of quality medical care consistent with the mission and vision at Pipeline Health and White Rock.
- Provide leadership in the areas of strategic planning, strategy execution and implementation of care management programs.
- Oversee, direct and support the rendering of medical management decisions that maximize benefits for patients while pursuing and supporting corporate objectives.
- Maintain a working knowledge of applicable National, State and local laws and regulations, TJC, NCQA and other regulatory requirements affecting the medical and allied health staff.
- Utilizing experienced directors, manage the departmental operations of Case Management, Clinical Documentation, Social Services, Medical Staff and Quality and Performance Improvement.
- Monitor effectiveness of management practices and productivity indicators using data such as turnover rates, absenteeism, budget variance, and patient, physician, and staff satisfaction surveys.
- Acts as the primary liaison between administration, Hospital medical staff and Pipeline Health corporate staff.
- Participate in professional organizations and represents White Rock in a professional, competent manner in the community.
- Demonstrate effective leadership skills of delegation, organization, and coordination of the intra-department activities and inter-department integration.
- Oversee the quality and service of hospital-based physician groups; meeting regularly with the medical directors of each Hospital department.
- Assure the ongoing development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of medical staff services.
- Prepare and submit reports as necessary to any requiring department in an accurate and timely manner.
- Serve as liaison with all external parties and institutions - including public, and governmental.
- Oversee and manage all on-site inspections, assisting inspectors and surveyors in the performance of their duties, and provides reports as required to follow-up.
- Ensure appointment of medical staff and allied health privileges are compliant with sound credentialing practices.
- Oversee preparation of agenda and materials for MEC and other medical staff committees.
- Work with Hospital administration to assure proper management services are provided to any Hospital managed physician group(s).
- Ensure the integrity of medical record documentation through periodic chart review and active participation in EMR enhancement processes.
- Participate in Hospital revenue cycle management meetings and assist with payor denials.
