Job description

Cimarron Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed critical access facility and Rural Health Clinic serving the medical needs of Boise City residents and the surrounding areas. Boise City is a city in and the county seat of Cimarron County, in the Panhandle of Oklahoma. The population was 1,166 at the 2020 census. The local economy is based on ranching, farming and the production of oil and natural gas.

Our staff of highly trained professionals works closely as a team to provide your healthcare services. Through the leadership of our Board of Trustees, Cimarron Memorial Hospital continues to make improvements to its facility, acquire new technology to improve services, and attract talented providers to our community.

The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Hospital and
Rural Health Clinic. This position is accountable for planning, organizing, and directing the hospital to ensure that quality patient care is provided, and that the financial integrity of the hospital is maintained. The CEO ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as all policies and procedures set forth by the Board of Trustees and Medical Staff, and those required by State of Oklahoma and CMS standards. The CEO is responsible for creating an environment and culture that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission by meeting or exceeding its goal, conveying the hospital mission to all staff, holding staff accountable for their performance, motivating staff to improve performance and being responsible for the measurement, assessment and continuous improvement of the hospital’s performance.

Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Plans, coordinates, and controls the daily operation of the organization through the organization's managers.
  • Establishes current and long range goals, objectives, plans and policies, subject to approval by the Board of Trustees.
  • Dispenses advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans, standards and procedures, consistent with established policies and Board approval.
  • Meets with organization's other executives to ensure that operations are being executed in accordance with the organization's policies.
  • Establishes and maintains an effective system of communications throughout the organization.
  • Oversees the adequacy and soundness of the organization's financial structure.
  • Reviews operating results of the organization, compares them to established objectives, and takes steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.
  • Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, management, financial planning, quality improvement and service delivery.
  • Knowledge of CAH and RHC cost based reimbursement.
  • Extensive knowledge of health system programs, policies, procedures.
  • Knowledge of the State of Oklahoma and CMS standards as they relate to nursing and clinical practices.
  • Ability to maintain knowledge of changes in legislation affecting health system practices.
  • Computer skills.
  • Strong customer service philosophy.
  • Leadership, communication, collaboration, flexibility, decisiveness, and positive presence in the community.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 7 years current President/CEO experience at a similar or larger sized Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic

PAY: $105,000 - $125,000
