Summary of Job Function:
- Supervises Echo lab personnel.
- Coordinates and directs operational functions of cardiac non-invasive services.
- Analyzes workload and performance standards.
- Maintains department QA as set forth by IAC guidelines and assists in the accomplishment of the medical center's Quality Improvement objective/goals.
- Obtains echocardiographic studies and assists Cardiologists with procedures.
- Provides recommendations to the Medical Director/Admin Director to enhance patient care and department advancement.
- Needs an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each age-specific need and provide age-specific treatment and care.
- Ensure that [unit/department/division] complies with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
- Oversee payroll, new hire training, onboarding, data analytics, PAC's system, internship program, inventory, finance/charges, EKG, and structural procedures, and attend all administrative meetings.
Job Qualifications/Education/Training/Certification/Licensure:
- Graduate of an accredited Echocardiographic Program
- Minimum 7 years of relevant clinical experience in a a hospital setting,
- Currently, active ARDMS or CCI credential,
- Successful completion of all Orientation Programs,
- CPR certified
Special Equipment/Skills:
- Operates ultrasound equipment and Xcelera system,
- Must have basic computer skills,
- Experience in Muse, ISCV, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Epic preferred
