Industry Experience:
In this Leadership role, it's important to have deep skills and Industry expertise in Oil and Gas, Chemicals or Mining sectors. Energy is always valued at Avanade; however, Oil & Gas is the desired field of expertise needed for this specific Leadership role.
Transformation at the Core:
You're experienced in transforming Clients' IT environments to digital, cloud-based modern technologies that leverage Cloud. This Role will entail helping shape key cloud application development, data and integration, and broader work serving as overall program enabler across multiple client business units and functions (e.g., Surface, Subsurface, Wells, etc.) and helping shape/orchestrate cross-function solutions involving such areas as Digital Twin OSDU, et al.

Preferred candidates will be SAFe-certified or an experienced SAFe practitioner who can operate seamlessly within the client's SAFe (Scaled Agile for Large Enterprises) delivery model including direct involvement in Program Increment (PI) planning over multi-day, multi-vendor participation. Also, you will chair weekly sessions with our Technical Delivery Leads on the account who are responsible for their specific domain/focus areas (e.g., Surface, Subsurface, Wells, Digital Twin, et al).

Leverage a sophisticated understanding of IT Architecture with the ability to align it with a client's business strategy to build a trusted advisor-type relationship up to and including C-Level Executives
Responsibilities

• Ability to work seamlessly w/Accenture in delivering as an integrated team to clients (e.g., Accenture Technology & Consulting, Accenture Industry X, Accenture Talent & Organizational Development, Accenture Song, etc.) and Avanade Sales teams.
• You have deep experience shaping, structuring, and proposing cost-effective onshore/offshore hybrid teaming/operating models working closely with Avanade and Accenture in all such discussions.
• Must have a strong and balanced combination of technical acumen and business acumen to best fit in with the client's culture and to work successfully with and alongside integrated Accenture and client teams.
• Engage with clients and delivery teams to assist in performing discovery, analysis, design, build, test, and deploy of Microsoft-based solutions.
• Work with various Offering Leads to bring the best of Avanade, Microsoft, and Accenture together to solution and deliver complex solutions that provide value for the client.
• Work with Regional Leadership and Capability Leads on options for training to build the next generation of Enterprise Architects.

• 5-10 Years working with Large Super Majors Oil & Gas
• Must be a Microsoft Azure Certified Solutions Expert with the ability to traverse the complex client ecosystem of technology platforms and partners.
• Must be a senior-level hands-on architect and practitioner with deep Oil & Gas domain relevance in addition to deep Microsoft ecosystem technical acumen.
• Experience in Enterprise Architecture and leveraging technical work products like TOGAF or similar frameworks to document and collaborate with Clients and teams. Additionally, to be rounded out with SAfe (scaled agile large enterprises) implementation knowledge.
• Excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills.
• Deep understanding of public cloud providers and their capabilities with a focus on Azure.
• Experience in working with clients at VP level and above.
• Communications, both verbal (e.g.: presentations, seminars, etc.), and written (e.g.: reports, articles, etc.).
• Group session facilitation techniques.
• Good leadership, motivational and interpersonal skills.
• Marketing ("selling" the results of architectural approaches through presentations).
• Critical thinking skills employed to analyze and prescribe outcomes to Clients and Teams.
• Excellence in modeling and graphical representations and abstractions - whiteboarding skills.
• Houston-based with the ability to periodically travel to other client sites domestically based on where business units, functions, and/or key stakeholders sit. Less frequent international travel may sometimes be required in this core role.

• 10 years of experience planning and deploying the Microsoft environment for Enterprise Clients and Fortune 500.
• Veteran systems integration and consulting Architect experience at either a Hyperscale or Big 4 consulting firm.
• Leadership and Coaching experience leading and developing teams of Architects in a consulting or sales consulting environment.
