Job Description
We seek a High School Chemistry Teacher beginning in the 2024-25 school year. The position will be primarily teaching Chemistry and AP Chemistry, along with semester-long elective offerings. Interest in teaching Robotics/Engineering-related electives is a plus. Our science department follows the Physics First curriculum, teaching Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, in that order. Our students students learn to appreciate science as a process, rather than an accumulation of facts, and develop the tools to investigate, research, discuss, and communicate about science. A bachelor’s degree is required, and a master’s or Ph.D. preferred, as well as 5+ years’ teaching experience; an understanding of Independent Schools, strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, the ability and desire to work collaboratively, and dedication to continuously developing and practicing cultural competence in one’s teaching are also essential. Extracurricular and/or athletic coaching ability is always welcomed
