A Day in the Life of a Chemistry Intern
LTI, the sky is not the limit – it's just the beginning, and we are seeking an energetic Chemistry Intern to join our dynamic team. This is a wonderful opportunity to develop your Chemistry lab experience by spending the rummer learning metal analysis. Candidates will have the opportunity to perform analysis and testing using instruments and classical wet methods. Some of the instruments that will be utilized during the internship include: Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP), Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy (ICP-MS), Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (AES), Carbon-Sulfur – Combustion Analysis (LECO) and Nitrogen/Oxygen/Hydrogen – Inert Gas Fusion (LECO). Wet Lab analysis will include performing gravimetric and titrations methods. At the conclusion of your internship, you’ll have learned and gained relevant experience in metal analysis.
Qualifications
- Full- time student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemistry or related science.
- Presently enrolled at an accredited U.S. College or University.
- US citizen or possess current documented legal right to work in the US, without sponsorship.
- Willing to work with mineral acids and bases.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
This is an onsite role working at our location in Hatfield, PA, Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4pm.
This position is for the 2024 Summer Internship Program. Successful candidates may be offered the option of continuing at LTI on a Part-Time basis during the semester, and/or be asked to return during the Winter break.
