Job Summary
We are looking to hire an experienced and knowledgeable Chemical - Head of Purchasing to manage the procurement of chemical products for our organization. The Chemical Procurement candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all chemical products are purchased at a cost effective price and are of the highest quality. The successful candidate should be highly organized and detail-oriented, possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, and have a strong leadership presence.
Responsibilities

• Research and identify chemical products for purchase based on company needs.
• Review and analyze supplier contracts, including terms and conditions, to ensure competitive prices and quality products.
• Negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best prices and terms are obtained.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that the correct products are purchased.
• Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential suppliers.
• Monitor the market for new and improved chemical products, negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best prices and terms are obtained.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all chemical purchases.
• Develop and implement strategies for procurement of chemicals that are cost-effective and meet the company's quality standards.
• Manage the procurement team and provide guidance and direction to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide monthly and annual reports on chemical procurement activities.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments and make recommendations on possible improvement strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Business related fields.
• At least 2+ years of experience in chemical procurement.
• Familiarity with SAP is necessary.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation
This is a full-time position with salary up to 150K DOE and benefits package.
