This posting is for a Head Coach for Girls Tennis at W.F. West High School. The season is anticipated to begin February 26, 2024 and end May 25, 2024.
In-district applicants will receive first consideration. Rate of pay based on experience and the Extra-Curricular Activities Salary Schedule. The stipend range is $5,240 - $5,837.
The job of the Head Coach is to help each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Performance Responsibilities:
- Ability to coach all aspects of the sport
- Ability to organize and supervise activities during practices and games
- Ability to demand strong team discipline and sportsmanship
- Ability to arrange a systematic and responsible method of issuing and recording
school equipment and clothing issued to students - Ability to maintain regular communication with Athletic Director and building
administrators at all times - Ability to administer and support the athletic department, school, league, district
and state WIAA regulations and policies - Ability to ensure that all practices and games (including locker rooms) are
supervised by a coach at all times - Ability to produce an inventory of equipment and see that all the equipment and
clothing is properly recorded and stored; submit completed inventory to the
District Athletic Director at the end of the season - Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable
accommodation - Ability to complete work at assigned workstations
- Ability to consistently deal with people in a courteous and professional manner
- Demonstrated support for the total school and athletic program
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements - Qualifications:
- Successful prior experience as head or assistant coach in designated sport
program - Strong background in designated sport
- Knowledge of WIAA rules and regulations as they pertain to designated sport
program - Meet WIAA coaching standards
- Teaching certification desired but not required
Licenses, Certifications, Bonding and/or Testing:
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification
- Type II driver's endorsement (driver's abstract and Type II employee medical
statement) - Additional training as required by the Chehalis School District
Reports to: District Athletic Director, School Principal
Compensation and Benefits:
The District complies with State Law regarding SEBB (School Employee Benefits Board) eligibility and benefits. Coaching positions are not anticipated to meet the SEBB eligibility requirements.
