Charter School Human Resources Technician/Manager
Year-round schedule with paid holidays and vacation: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
We are seeking a talented individual for the Human Resources Technician/Manager position to serve as a member of the organization's leadership team for a small school network. 2 campuses, 100 employees.
Responsible for employee services related to Human Resources including, but not limited to a variety of complex technical, administrative and clerical duties related to employee services including, but not limited to: employee records (new hires, changes and terminations), benefits, payroll, oversight and communication with agents of all absence administration types, and workers' compensation. This position helps analyze the company's overall organizational talent-centered processes in detail and update operational policies, procedures, and protocols.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS:
Criminal background check required for hire.
SHRM or PHR certification, preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
- Public speaking and public relations.
- Personal computer and keyboarding skills e.g. Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency.
- Strong customer service and public relations skills.
- Strong interpersonal relations skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Intermediate accounting and math skills.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn current software.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other departments to solve problems.
- Ability to analyze information and make correct assumptions based on acquired knowledge of appropriate contacts, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies, Authorizer policies and building and department procedures.
- Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
- Relate and respond to people beyond giving and receiving instructions, including consistent courtesy and tact in considerable public contact and confrontational situations.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, support staff, staff from other departments, and other local, state, and federal government agencies.

EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of three years related work experience.
Human Resources Generalist, benefits, and Paycom payroll-processing experience preferred.
