We are seeking to hire a full time Payroll Analyst 2 to work with the Human Resources Service Center to support multiple Departments with payroll processing, leave management and onboarding/ offboarding processing support. In this role you will also prepare UCPath actions, review all proposed actions for compliance with Personnel Policies for Staff (PPS) and Collective Bargaining Contracts (CBC) and verify the existence of funding to support requested actions. Preparation and analysis of reports and other additional duties may be required. Pay Range: $26.48 - $53.40 hourly
Required: Bachelor’s Degree. Comprehensive knowledge of University personnel and payroll transaction processes and employee benefits. Skill in using PC and Microsoft Office Suite software applications to produce correspondence, mail merges, database information, spreadsheets and custom reports. Ability to write and edit grammatically correct business correspondence. Skill in dealing with confidential matters with tact, sensitivity, and discretion. Skill in writing to prepare letters and memos. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of management including faculty, staff and residents. Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, supervisors, and faculty. Preferred: Knowledge of UC Payroll and Personnel Systems, such UCPath and HBS. Working knowledge of University staff personnel policies and procedures and labor contracts. Working knowledge of the Work-Study program policies and procedures. Knowledge of information resources within the University.
